KUALA LUMPUR, April 11 (Bernama) -- The country’s leading geospatial solutions provider, Esri Malaysia, is bringing its highly anticipated roadshow of seminars — Directions LIVE — to five major Malaysian cities: Johor Bahru, Sarawak, Penang, Kota Kinabalu and Kuantan. The month-long roadshow will run from 25 April to 23 May.
This round of Directions LIVE — themed Build. Connect. Share. — will provide insight on how organisations can leverage Big Data Analytics, lightweight productivity apps and real-time GIS to achieve tangible results.
It will also showcase how organisations such as the Iskandar Regional Development Authority, Penang GIS Centre and the Malaysian Centre for Geographic Data Infrastructure are using location-based analytics to improve the productivity and efficiency of their services and operations.

“Directions LIVE is run annually by our team as part of our commitment to promote the use of location intelligence in every organisation, and every industry,” Mr CS Tan, CEO of Esri Malaysia said.
“An estimated 80% of data is location-related; whether it’s data on transactions, operations or customers. For that reason, location has become a vital factor in decision-making and in turn, GIS technology has become necessary for better decision making, innovation and risk mitigation,” he said.
