KUALA LUMPUR, April 18 (Bernama) -- The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) launched its first ACCA Recognised Tutor Training Academy with the appointment of Inspire Professional Academy (INSPIRE) as an independent training centre. ACCA Asia Pacific Director, Leong Soo Yee said the initiative was an answer to the government''s call to train more professional accountants to support Malaysia''s progressive economy. "We strongly believe it''s essential to have the right number and right quality of tutors to support the rapidly growing number of students wishing to study ACCA and become professional accountants," she said in a statement, today. The ACCA Recognised Tutor Training Academy, which is ACCA''s first in the world, will set new standards in tutor training using a combination of online digital materials and face-to-face teaching. Participants of this training programme will learn the teaching style and methodology for professional qualifications which required more strategic and practical application. Upon completion of the programme, they will receive certificates in recognition of their achievements, proving they have undertaken training to develop and teach students who will become professional accountants. Meanwhile, INSPIRE founder Lee Sik Weng said the training centre was ready to groom more professional accountants for the programme. "Developing tutors who already have the technical knowledge with practical application skills and know-hows will enhance the employability and increase the success rates of Malaysian talents," he said. As a training center, INSPIRE will assist to develop and nurture lecturers and individuals to become effective teachers of the ACCA qualification. Registration is now open for the first session of the ACCA Recognised Tutor Training Academy, which will begin in June.
