Signs 11th TrialOne® Contract in China in 14 Months

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., March 1 (Bernama-GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- OmniComm Systems, Inc. G. H. Financials Appoints New CEO And Non-Executive Chairman

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 27 (Bernama) -- Independent clearing firm for exchange-traded derivatives, G.H. Financials has announced the promotion of Mark Phelps to group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective this April 2.

With the new appointment, Phelps will be relocating to the group's head office in London.

The promotion has also resulted in the appointment of Mark Ibbotson as Non-Executive Chairman of G. H. Financials, succeeding Duncan Paterson who has served as a non-executive director of the group since 2012.

Telenor , Cisco Team Up To Enhance End Customer Experiences

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 28 (Bernama) -- Telenor Group has signed a joint purpose agreement (JPA) with Cisco Systems Inc. to collaborate on enhancing end customer experiences with data analysis, IoT, and Smart City and security solutions.

The collaboration aims to accelerate Telenor's continued transformation and digitisation drive, and to support the joint pivotal role that both companies play in enabling superior experiences for Telenor customers.

Under the terms of the JPA, Cisco will work closely with Telenor on its roadmap to accelerate digital transformation, drive new revenue streams, increase operational excellence and enable the most secure customer experiences.

Meanwhile, Cisco's senior vice-president, Global Service Provider, Peter Karlstromer said by applying data analysis across selected app platform with Cisco's AppDynamics, Telenor would have an opportunity to explore real-time view of apps' performance to deliver better customer experiences.

Toshiba Unveils New Compact 2TB Hard Disk Drive

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 27 (Bernama) -- Toshiba Electronic Devices and Storage Corporation (Toshiba) has unveiled its new MQ04 Series 2TB (terabyte) hard disk drive (HDD) model MQ04ABD200.

Toshiba, in a statement, said this HDD was designed for use in notebook personal computers, all-in-one and slim-line desktop systems and other applications requiring high-capacity storage and 2.5-inch mobile-class durability.

The drive's 6Gbit/s SATA interface and 5,400rpm performance, combined with a large 128MiB buffer, result in a 34 per cent increase in maximum transfer rates and a 50 per cent improvement in power efficiency compared to the previous 1TB mobile-class model MQ01ABD100.

"Achieving 2TB capacity in the industry-standard 2.5-inch form-factor is a big advance in both value and performance, and helps improve watt per GB to contribute to better battery life in portable PCs," said its general manager of storage products division, Shuji Takaoka.

The MQ04 2TB model shipment started today.

Mitsubishi Chemical In Strategic Partnerships For Marketing Zeolite Membranes

KUALA LUMPUR, March 1 (Bernama) -- Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC) has announced strategic partnerships for marketing its zeolite membranes, ZEBREX (TM), for bioethanol production.

The strategic partnerships consist of ICM Inc. (ICM) for North America and Mitsui & Co. Ltd. (Mitsui) for Asia-Pacific and Europe, which will accelerate MCC's business development in the bioethanol market further on a global scale.

MCC, in a statement said as known for engineering expertise in the fuel ethanol market, ICM's technology is used in more than half of ethanol plants in the United States, where the largest bioethanol production is taking place.

The combination of MCC's ZEBREX (TM) dehydration technology and ICM's process integration ability will speed the penetration of the zeolite membranes into the North American market.

Meanwhile, MCC will promote ZEBREX (TM) with Mitsui to bioethanol producers who can take advantage of the technology.

As a result of the partnership, one of the largest bioethanol producers in Europe, Pannonia Ethanol Zrt based in Hungary, has committed to install the world's largest ZEBREX (TM) system.

With the United States and Brazil leading the global market, the use of bioethanol derived from biomass feedstocks such as corn, sugarcane and cassava has been wide-spreading due to its carbon neutrality and potential to reduce greenhouse gas emission.
